American Classical Leadership Education®
"All men who have turned out worth anything have had the chief hand in their own education." - Sir Walter Scott
At Excalibur, we prepare future leaders and statesmen through a principle-based education rooted in the classics and guided by great mentors. Our scholars engage in a rich classical liberal arts curriculum encompassing history, literature, mathematics, science, the arts, language, and leadership preparation.
To understand this model, we look to America’s great servant leaders. Some, like John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, and James Madison, had formal classical educations. Others—George Washington, Frederick Douglass, Benjamin Franklin, and Abigail Adams—were self-taught through the study of the classics and the influence of wise mentors. All were grounded in liberty and inspired to pursue truth, virtue, and wisdom.
Our scholars follow this example by studying original sources, engaging in Socratic dialogue, and discovering how timeless ideas shape today’s world. At the heart of it all is liberty—the foundation upon which the four pillars of our educational philosophy stand.

The foundation of this model is liberty, upon which the four pillars of education are grounded. Liberty, not force or coercion, constitutes the basis of an education for a free people.
Standing upon the firm foundation of liberty (the freedom to act on one's own will) are the pillars of an American Classical Leadership Education®.
Why Excalibur?
A classical education is an invitation for children to become scholars—young people inspired by great books, mentors, and timeless ideas to discover their unique gifts and purpose. Rather than telling scholars what to think, it teaches them how to think: to ask meaningful questions, cultivate virtue, and grow into servant leaders who use their talents for the good of others. Rooted in our shared heritage and a love of freedom, classical education forms both the mind and the heart, preparing students not just for a career, but for a life well lived.
Parents who choose classical education are giving their children exactly what Artificial Intelligence (AI) cannot provide: a cultivated mind, a virtuous heart, and the ability to think, choose, and lead with wisdom. The disruption that AI is bringing to the world is increasingly evident. We believe helping scholars learn how to think, rather than simply recall information is more important than ever. AI will change everything except who we are. What was true 2,000 years ago is true today. Virtue, beauty, and wisdom comes from the same place it always has. If we infuse that into our children, they will master and dominate in the AI world of the future.
